Protean Core, pathway 02 of 04
Strength, made systematic.
Protean Core is the next progression in the Protean Method. Structured, progressive strength training and the capacity to train consistently.
Included in the Protean Method Membership, or $127 one-time with lifetime access.
Who Core is for
Core is for someone who has a base and is ready to train with structure. The guesswork goes, and progression becomes the plan.
It is not an advanced athletic program, and it is not meant to be. It is where strength becomes systematic.
This is for you if
- You are ready for consistent, structured strength training
- You are ready for progressive overload
- You have a base and want a clear plan to build on it
- You do not yet need a more advanced athletic program
Not sure this is your level? Take the Protean Compass
What Core helps you build
Structured strength
A clear plan in place of improvised sessions.
Progressive overload
Training that builds on itself, session after session.
Training capacity
The capacity to train consistently, week after week.
How Core works
Protean Core is an eight-week progressive strength program built around three structured training sessions per week, with an optional fourth session when your schedule and recovery allow. The program uses progressive overload to build strength, muscle and training capacity across the eight weeks. Each session follows a clear plan while providing home and gym substitutions where appropriate, so you can train consistently with the equipment available to you. Most workouts take approximately 45 to 60 minutes.

Buy CoreQuestions, answered
Is Core the right place for me to start?
If you are unsure, take the Protean Compass. It is free, takes only a few minutes and recommends your starting pathway.
What is the difference between joining the membership and buying Core on its own?
Membership gives you all four pathways, the Protean Community, the Member Library and everything added over time, for as long as your membership is active. Buying Core on its own gives you lifetime access to this one program.
What happens when I am ready to move on?
The next pathway is Protean Thrive. Members already have access to it. If you bought Core on its own, you can join the membership or purchase Thrive separately.
How long do I keep access?
A program bought on its own is yours for life. Membership access continues for as long as your membership is active.
What equipment do I need?
Protean Core can be completed at home or in a gym. The primary equipment is dumbbells or kettlebells, resistance bands and a bench or other stable elevated surface. Where additional gym equipment is available, the program provides appropriate exercise substitutions. You will follow one complete training plan and choose the exercise option that best matches your available equipment.
